NEW YEARS CONTEST!

bar

Mister Parfait coming to you LIVE from The Niche Market. I don’t know if your homies get down like my homies, —–but we tend to get into some pretty stupid shit when we go out drinking. Being that New Years Eve is the second largest drinking holiday that I can think of, I decided to throw a little drinking contest. Please email us at info@thenichemarket.com with the craziest (legit) stories of your new years eve. Emails will be taken through sunday, january 2nd and the winner will be most likely announced that Monday or Tuesday (I am slack). Winner recieves a t-shirt of their choice that can be picked up (not shipped)  at the Niche Store. I expect to hear something good because I am in the competition as well. So if you find yourself getting arrested tonight be sure to go that extra mile knowing that when you get out of your cell in the morning you can email us and clinch victory. Hope everyone out there has a wonderful and safe New Years Eve and New Years day. JEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enemy 2 Fashion

Our friend Caleb, (Enemy2Fashion) always has some creative project up his sleeve.   The latest thing he has put out are these super cool ‘Timeworn Knapsacks.”  Big enough to hold a laptop and other goodies.  At $45 this is a nice bag I wouldn’t mind getting for Christmas if anyone out there is looking!  Also, check out the foldable chair project he is working on that is getting ready to launch, PAKFLAT.

Adidas Consortium Toronto

The latest release from the Consortium “All-City” series has arrived.  This Toronto model was designed by the infamous Canadian sneaker boutique Livestock.  Nice subtle slate gray and blue colorway with metal lace eyelets.  You can pick them up here.

Svpply

The dude, Mr. Parfait recently turned me on to this site,  Svpply.  I could stay on here for days checking out their amazing selection of all sort of goodies you would like to own. This chair calander caught my eye.  It’s got all the famous Eames chairs and others.  This would be about the closest to owning any of them I will ever come.  Svpply wouldn’t respond to my email about trying to get a login, but you’re welcome any way guys!

Ghostland Observatory

These guys are playing this Saturday at The Neighborhood Theatre.  I highly recommend you check them out.  I’ve had friends say it’s one of the best shows they have seen and I know I’ve been hooked on their album for some time.  Yet another reason to stop bitching about the Charlotte music scene.

Lark & Key

My favorite gallery in Charlotte has just opened a new location right down the street.  Lark and Key Southend is now open and I highly suggest you check it out.  There are no photos of the new space up on their site but it’s very minimal with a lot of white space and unique antique furniture as fixtures.  They also carry local pottery and jewelry in addition to art.  Go SUPPORT independent businesses!

Stranger Day Video

Our good friend Stranger Day just released his first music video.  Check it out.  It’s a fun video and definitely a catchy song.  BE WARNED:  There is plenty of ass shaking if you are opposed to that sort of thing.

Jimmy Fallon as Neil Young

This is so random, but hilarious.  Fallon nails Neil Young doing a cover of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air!
